What Does Cookie Brigade Do?
• With help from local bakers, we ship a variety of homemade
cookies to deployed and convalescing military personnel
serving the U.S. thru-out the world. Names & addresses
of the troops are sent to us from friends and loved ones.
• Homemade dog biscuits are sent to canine teams;
information is provided by the U.S. War Dogs Association.
• Via the Fisher House Foundation, CB sends cookies to
convalescing troops and families staying at Fisher Houses.
Cookies Are Sent Free of Charge
• There is no charge for sending cookies to the troops.
Our cookies are sent on behalf of a grateful nation.
How Did Cookie Brigade Begin?
• In 2004 and 2005, we began sending homemade cookies to
Afghanistan and Iraq, where family members serving in the
U.S. Navy and Army Reserves were deployed. Cookies
"made from scratch" proved to be a huge hit with the troops.
• Their overwhelming response to "cookies from home" served
as the inspiration for Cookie Brigade.
